Description
PWW2 Named Antique American Captain Engineer Officers Uniform Philippine Veteran.Condition is "Used" and shows honest wear. Small nip in several Spots.
Interior is named to S R Harris as well as a monogram of S R H above the interior pocket. Interior pocket had a few military ribbons and pins along with a paper I believe was used to identify the Captains uniform during dry cleaning.
One of the ribbons is a Phillipine Independece ribbon and recognizes those members of the military who had participated in multiple Philippine Commonwealth military operations during the years of WW2.
The ribbon above the right breast is available to be awarded to U.S. military units and naval vessels that earned any of the Philippine service stars and certain submarines which maintained physical contact with the newly ongoing Philippine Commonwealth military and local recognized guerrilla forces during the Japanese occupation of the Philippine Islands during World War II are entitled to the award:
For service in defense of the Philippines from December 7, 1941, to May 10, 1942
For service in the liberation of the Philippines from October 17, 1944, to July 4, 1945
