UNIQUE WWII FIELD JACKET CBI THEATER SHOULDER PATCHES LG LEATHER BLOOD CHIT*WOW!
This is an unique WWII Tailored Field Jacket with CBI patches and leather trim.  The jacket has size 38R faintly stamped on the inside.  The jacket measures about 18 1/2” across the shoulders, about 21” across the chest, about 20” across the waist, about 20” inseam and about 29 1/4” long.  All measurements were taken while the coat was laying flat.    This jacket has leather piping on the pocket flaps, trim down the front, cuffs,  and the collar is leather front.  The jacket has plain green buttons, the sleeves have a two button cuff for adjustment and one button is broken.  The jacket has an inside green drawstring.    The jacket has some wear to the leather, some white spots, black rings on the inside front, some brown spots on the back inside of the top back and years of dust, dirt and grime.
The jacket was altered by an overseas tailor.  The jacket appears to have been stylized using an Army Air corps A1 Flight Jacket’s Russet Leather.    There was a similar WWII Tailored Field Jacket offered on Ebay about 2 years ago.   From what I have learned, there appears to have been a few of these unique WWII Tailored Field jackets made, Maybe all from the same CBI group.
The WWII jacket has a CBI or China, Burma, India Theatre Merrill’s Marauder’s cloth theater made hand embroidered shoulder patch.  An embroidered? Flying Tiger Shoulder patch on the opposite shoulder.  The back of the jacket has a large Blood Chit about 7 1/4” by 9 1/4” made from multi piece leather and ink?.  The blood chit has the United States and Chinese flags, the Merrill Marauder’s patch and  hand written in ink? Are directions in Chinese across the bottom.  .  This Blood Chit shows some minor wear and years some darkening on the white bottom from over the years.    The inside bottom front of the jacket has a 48 star American leather flag with punched stars.  The American flag measures about 5 3/4” by about 7”.  The flag has years of wear and dirt.
This amazing WWII Field Jacket was purchased from an estate with many other treasures.  This unique WWII Field Jacket  from the CBI Theatre with patches appears to be in good used worn condition, except as noted and is offered as is.
